On Friday 30 March 2018, thousands of long-suffering Palestinians were peacefully protesting in Gaza. Israeli soldiers over-reacted to the peaceful protests with deadly violence. At least 41 Palestinians were killed, and more than 1,700 were injured. 1 When the UN Security Council tried to criticize this horrifying over-reaction to the protests, the US government blocked it.
