ABSTRACT

Chapter 12 puts together everything that has been covered in the book and applies it to the sport of soccer. Included is a needs analysis of the sport and periodized workout programs incorporating all the modes of exercise already covered for beginners (pre-pubescent youth), beginners, national caliber athletes, elite/professional athletes, and masters athletes. In addition to the programs there are several agility drills included which are illustrated when appropriate.

This chapter will put together everything that has been covered in this book and apply it to the sport of soccer. It will show how the concepts apply and how they depending upon the age and level of development of the athlete.
