ABSTRACT

Chapter 4 covers the various modes of exercise that could be used in a training session. This chapter describes the warm-up, strength training, the tools used in speed training, the progressions of exercises with plyometric and agility training, approaches to metabolic conditioning, horizontal force production training, the cool down, and recovery approaches post-training. Evidence-based discussions cover static stretching as warm-up, bands and chains with strength training, and the efficacy of various recovery modes.
