ABSTRACT
This chapter illustrates the use of different theoretical components to further explain the case example presented in Chapter Three. A variety of partial complementary case formulations are displayed, utilizing, first, traditional self psychology; second, a social brain perspective, informed by neuroscience; and third, a non-linear dynamic systems viewpoint; all highlighting the compatibility of employing psychoanalytic and nonpsychoanalytic formulations.
