ABSTRACT
One day the duck was walking through the bush and she came upon the lion-cub in a kraal, jumping up and down. When he saw that the duck was running, he asked her ‘Hi, duck, what are you running away from?’ and she answered ‘I’m running away from man.’ Says the lion-cub ‘What sort of thing is that?’ and the duck said ‘The man has two legs and more intelligence than any other of God’s creation’ and she added ‘In the short time you and I have been together here, a man would have managed to bring about your death’. But the lion-cub said ‘What, duck! Do you think there is anything greater than I? Here, sit down beside me and don’t move away. Whatever comes along this way, you’ll see, I’ll have the answer to it.’ And she agreed.
