ABSTRACT

After a relatively successful meeting, Doug finds time to head out to the floor with some renewed enthusiasm for the improvement process he envisions and how it will actually value the employees’ inputs and efforts. And guess who he sees first? None other than Ron Schechter, the incredibly strongly-opinioned Union Steward who always feels the need to explain why every single management decision is meant to screw the 64employees over. He constantly looks for reasons to spread the seeds of doubt and confusion among his Union colleagues. Doug finds this a little frustrating but always works to consider Ron's input and extract anything positive. He makes sure that Ron sees the benefit of the organization's plan to improve the processes.
