Students Do Not Always Follow Instructions … and Neither Do Teachers. We All Need to Be Patient with One Another.

The student did not bring the right book to class, and the teacher did not bring their laptop to the faculty meeting. The student was late to class because they were chatting with their friend. The teacher was late to their own class because they were out in the hallway conversing with a colleague. The student did not read all of the directions thoroughly on the test, and the teacher did not read the principal’s email carefully – or at all. The student did not have their project turned in on time, and the teacher did not have their professional learning plan turned in on time.
