ABSTRACT

In the business environment, companies with an unloving attitude display countless examples of misbehaviour: exploiting employees, ripping customers off, acting without integrity with intermediaries and suppliers, using misleading advertising, polluting the environment, using non-renewable resources, and bribing governments, among others. Many terms commonly used in the business world come from the military disciplines. Some oriental philosophical schools of thought imbue love with feminine traits, such as compassion, care, integration, and nourishment, among others. In the business environment, most organisations are prone to focus more on masculine characteristics. Most business people tend to experience fearful states which prompt them to perceive the business environment as dangerous. Relationships are a key component of any business; without them no company can thrive, regardless of the unique traits of its products and services and the deftness of its marketing strategy. A loving attitude is the foundation of fruitful relationships, both business and non-business ones.
