ABSTRACT
This chapter will explore the impact of working with racial trauma on the school-based mental health professional with an emphasis on vicarious trauma and self-care. This chapter will also highlight concepts related to self-reflective awareness including implicit and explicit bias, privilege, and the clinician's own ethno-racial identity development.
