ABSTRACT
Chapter 6 of ARM 4th Ed is entitled Measurement Using Likert Scales. Likert-style surveys of attitudes, customer satisfaction, Health-Related Quality of Life and the like are very popular across many of the human sciences. The Rasch Rating Scale Model is introduced to analyze these types of data sets. The Instrumental Attitude toward Self-assessment Questionnaire (IASQ) serves as straightforward use of the Rasch rating scale model to construct a measure from Likert-type items. Step-by step instructions for the analysis of the IASQ data set are provided on the book website. The Going Further section considers each of the diagnostic features for checking rating scale functioning.
