ABSTRACT

Chapter 7 of ARM 4th Ed is entitled The Partial Credit Rasch Model. The partial credit model specifically incorporates the possibility of having differing numbers of response levels for different items on the same test. For this reason, the partial credit model is highly applicable in testing situations in which “part marks” are awarded for “partial success”, i.e., for progress between complete failure and complete success on that item. The PCM analysis in this chapter is applied to interview data scored against stage criteria based on Piagetian theory. The Going Further section focuses on examining evidence for unidimensionality.
