ABSTRACT

Although no notes of Epper’s treatment with Jung were found, there are letters and a protocol in the Psychological Club which give information of her treatment, which lasted only nine hours. These documents show that Jung considered Epper’s relationship with her father-imago as one main element in her psychic condition. For him, Epper had an unconscious link to her father and unconsciously lived part of her father’s blocked instinctual life. Jung suggested Epper use drawings to express her fantasies. Epper felt cured and was grateful to Jung.
