ABSTRACT

The general managers of the enterprise have been put in a quandary to account for the apparent lack of interest in the work of the organization, and yet their question is easily answered. The laws governing the accounts to be rendered by executors, trustees and others in a similar capacity differ as between the country and Canada and as between the various States in the Union. Practicing accountants, who may be assumed to be experts in the fundamental principles, enjoy a comparison of articles one with the other for the purpose of acquainting themselves with the difference in practice in different parts of the country. The account will show the parcel of real estate, the incumbrance on same, the revenue derivable from the rental, lease or use of property, and the cost of carrying the mortgage. The tenth annual session of the American Railway Accounting Officers’ Association was held in Atlantic City, N. J., May 25 and 26.
