ABSTRACT

The outpatient unit provides services to patients who have complaints that are not urgent and can be addressed without their having to stay in the hospital. Patient satisfaction with the outpatient unit is affected by the length of the consultation period, the objective average waiting time, appreciation and acknowledgment from health workers for waiting patiently, the waiting time that can be tolerated by patients and interactions between healthcare workers and patients. The highest waiting time in hospitals generally occurs in the outpatient unit. The highest waiting time in hospitals generally occurs in the outpatient unit. Many Lean implementation studies have been conducted hospital outpatient units and shown positive effects. Learning from the experiences of the hospital on the ward unit, Lean implementation steps can be done in two ways: through one’s own version or copied from any existing version.
