*** Biography of Eduard Schulte, the German businessman who passed information on the Final Solution to Gerhard Riegner, World Jewish Congress representative in Geneva, Switzerland. Herr Schulte became aware of the extermination program as a result of business connections in Germany. Although morally outraged, he was fearful for his own safety and demanded to remain anonymous. His wish was granted and it took historians forty years to piece together the various bits of evidence that pointed to Schulte as Riegner's informant
