ABSTRACT
*** Text of the first American conference on the liberation of the concentration camps held under the auspices of the United States Holocaust Memorial Council. Primary focus is on the American liberators, although British and soviet liberators are included as well. Camp resistance and uprisings are also included. Perhaps the most poignant chapter is the transcript of a tape recording by the late Edward R. Murrow, entitled "This is Buchenwald."
