ABSTRACT
The role of arms control in the nordic countries has several sides. People are extremely concerned about nuclear weapons. On the other hand, nuclear weapons and arms control have become a part of the fabric of domestic politics. It is, therefore, not always easy to know when one is dealing with a practical problem and when with political tactics.
