While we have no further letters from Charlie on Chattanooga, we do know from his memorabilia, reported ship movements, and the following letter, that he traveled to Kobe, Yokohama, and Hakodate, Japan, Vladivostok Russia, and back down the China coast to Woosung. In July, he and paymaster Lathrop sailed back to Olongapo on the transport Buffalo.
