The last day of the conference also was the most dramatic one. The delegates witnessed the dramatic Yeltsin-Ligachev clash, took stands on the clash, heard Gorbachev's final speech, and adopted the resolutions. The day was the longest of the conference, the session lasting until almost midnight.
