ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses, in a rough topical order, both scholarly journals and women's movement periodicals. Several indexes and charts make it easy to discover periodicals published in particular regions or cities, during a given time period, or with a special focus. The former are a source of secondary analyses and essays, while the latter serve to document events and trends and the feminist response to them. Some of these titles are indexed or otherwise captured in the bibliographic resources listed. There are scores more, including literary magazines, regional and local newspapers, and special interest group newsletters, that may prove relevant to the readers research. Women's periodicals identify and fully describes 1,461 titles, including feminist, anti-feminist, and apolitical periodicals published by or for women.
