ABSTRACT

Content is the “meat” within an interactive experience and comes in many different forms: graphics, animation, audio, video and text. Graphics of different types: buttons, charts, diagrams, photographs and illustrations are expected components within any interactive experience. Digital cameras or even smart phone cameras have allowed companies to take their own product pictures, a task that was once outsourced to professionals at service bureaus. Traditional animation techniques form the basis of many 2-D animation programs. For example, many animation programs allow the animator to see the previous frame(s) while drawing the current one which is analogous to a traditional animator drawing over the previous frame while using a light table. Sound can have a significant impact on a user’s experience of interactive media. Video content can come from a variety of sources such as TV stations, personal collections, academic archives, or stock footage sites and formats, both analog and digital.
