ABSTRACT

This is a rather a particular chapter in which I would like to give a disorganised but honest account of the analyst’s day to day work, which I think is well represented by the image beneath (Figure 6.1), where we clearly see the activity of knitting together undifferentiated sensoriality, which in the drawing has already reached the level of the syllable, so that it can be written down in a narrative framework: in the end we just have to know how to knit and use the right needles for the job. But the picture could also be seen as going in the opposite direction, towards a deconstruction that is capable of bringing release from the obligation to reiterate modes of being, until we create a bundle of micro-narremes that can be woven together in completely new and unpredictable ways.
