ABSTRACT

The Organizational Readiness Team (ORT) plays a key role in planning and executing the implementation readiness meetings, but the best practice approach is to support the front-line leadership team in facilitating these meetings. The post-implementation focus is on more advanced system training and ensuring team debriefs are occurring on a regular basis. There is a great deal of activity in the months leading up to go-live to ensure the organization is well positioned for a successful launch. With a clear focus on the people side of the implementation, much attention is centered on preparing users to effectively incorporate the CHΔNGE™ into daily operations. The Ready User Model suggests that there is a hierarchy of needs a user must satisfy to truly become a “ready user.” The idea is that individuals want to make sense of their world and they benefit from knowing how their actions and performance contributes to the bigger picture.
