ABSTRACT

A mindset is a core belief that influences how we interact with the various environments we navigate daily, with the people in those environments and the conditions we face in those environments. Science has demonstrated repeatedly that our mindset influences outcomes in all areas of life. New mindsets will continue to be presented to provide cognitive support for ongoing recommendations in the areas of organizational practices, culture, engagement and supervision practices that help minimize the stress of what we do, for strengthening our resilience and growth despite ongoing exposure to trauma victims and situations, for self-assessments and self-care planning. The reality statements can be used to reinforce the need to engage in very brief stress reduction, stress regulation activities throughout the workday. The way we reorganize our brain or modify our brains response is “through activity or experiences, which also includes mental activity and our thoughts”.
