ABSTRACT

Chapter 10 resources Chapter 9. There is an expectation that novice researchers will not have the skills to construct an ethics application without some resourcing. This resourcing is found on TREAD (https://tread.tghn.org/), “the research ethics application database”. Chapter 10 describes the origins and utility of this database and encourages novice researchers to use it. It discusses the differences between writing research proposals and protocols and communicating the work to ethics committees and participants. Readers are encouraged to think collaboratively in sharing their work and successes with others to develop a community of learning and are given practical tips on how to approach something that can often seem quite daunting.
