as a participating member of the qualitative inquiry community who enjoys thinking it might stand with so many other books that have enriched my understanding (see Recommended and Referenced Sources) of presenting alternative ways of doing research, of speaking from the heart as well as the head, and of insisting personal truth can become a political act, driven by deep reflection and creatively shaped into efficacious language that inter venes in social injustices through its commitment to an ethic of care.
I leave you with this book:as a researcher who believes letting the literary into scholarly inquiry opens the potential for richly textured renderings of human experience and moves our work into the hands and hearts of those outside scholarly circles.
