ABSTRACT

In the Closing Reflections, the author concludes by reviewing the racial complex and how this complex has had a powerful influence on American society and American racism. The relationship between whites and blacks is considered within the context of a racial context first perceived of by C.G. Jung at the beginning of the 20th century. The author creates a historical line that includes African Americans of whom Jung referenced. This inclusion serves as a deconstruction of Jungian thought as related to Africanist people, cultural complexes and racism. American cultural complexes, African American culture, race and racism have all been discussed to provide an opportunity to explore a racial complex that can support psychological development, clinical practice, and Jungian psychology literature.
