ABSTRACT
Innovation! Innovate or die! Companies compete to be the first to the market with new technologies that will provide them first mover advantage. These new ideas offer them new ways to gain market share and revenue. Innovation labs are springing up in most major companies. In the race to be first, security is always an afterthought. The promise of these innovations is vast, and the risks with them are equally vast. These technologies have geopolitical risk as well as cyber risk. In this chapter, we explain the innovations, the promise of AI, and dive into the security disadvantages of these innovations and what the future of cyber risk looks like.
