ABSTRACT
In the midst of writing this book, in the United States more than 2,000 children were separated from their parents and placed in what the government called “chain-link partitions,” the father of one of my students got diagnosed with cancer, my sister lost her job, and my 60-year-old aunt fell and injured her arm.
