ABSTRACT
The tasks in the first section are built around various aspects of academic English writing.
The tasks can be useful at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, for university students as well as researchers and writers. Where necessary, the resource book provides a brief commentary on the grammatical or lexical phenomenon related to a particular search.
The tasks aim to develop concordancer searching skills while focussing on grammatical and lexico-grammatical issues, vocabulary, collocations and word frequencies. Section 1 includes, in particular, the following sections:
