ABSTRACT

Chapter 2 is inspired by non-chrononormativities. It introduces the concept of temporality and, more specifically, temporalities, as these can help to frame and also, importantly, change archival thought and archiving practices. Centering on oral history interviews co-created with Jay Kyle Petersen and the archival work to process his collection, this chapter experiments with the temporal consideration of the body alongside the finding aid and ends with three theoretical interventions into archiving in and over time – haunting, decolonizing, and queering.
