In her foreword, Varotsi introduces her theory of ‘Conceptualisation and Exposition’ as an approach to character construction, founded on the idea that characterisation, or else character exposition through the text, relies on an in-depth comprehension of the character concept, as well as its correlation to the reader, the author and its real counterpart, the human being.
