ABSTRACT
Ms. Foreman grew up in the city where she teaches. Speaking candidly, she talks about her earlier experiences: The city was twenty times worse than it is now. There were a lot of gangs, prostitution, and drugs. A bar on each end of the block. I would see dancers go by and when they fell down, we would laugh. That was until I learned about drugs.
