ABSTRACT
In one of two chapters on the communicator, Chapter 9 examines the colorful factor of charisma and then turns to authority, with a full-court press on the Milgram study. The chapter discusses findings of the Milgram experiments, explanations, contemporary criticisms, ethical issues, and a wealth of applications to everyday life, while offering suggestions on how to guard against unwanted influence by authorities.
