ABSTRACT

Therapy informed by the Diamond Model requires a multi-systemic diagnostic evaluation. The case is viewed from both a synchronic and a diachronic perspective. The diagnostic evaluation includes formulations of semiotic, cybernetic information-processing programs belonging to all those internal and external subsystems that are relevant to the case. Bugs in these programs are identified and named. The same applies to emotive-related emotions that got out of balance and therefore energized the bugs. A multi-systemic developmental profile of each client is sketched, concentrating on lines and dimensions of development that are relevant to the case. It is advisable to organize all of this information in short lists or in a tabular form, in order to make it easier to refer to these data when we plan therapeutic strategies.
