ABSTRACT
Radical changes happened in political representation. One of them was the disappearance of class-parties and their transformation into national parties. The old mass parties are disappearing, especially the social democratic parties that lost their working class backing. The new development is the rise of the populist parties. What are the central political issues for populists?
