ABSTRACT

The power of the Bible confirms the proposition that it is a revelation from God. It is the living Word. It makes a revolution such as no book of human authorship has ever done. Sin is revolutionary, and it does quick work. It made Cain in a few years capable of murdering his brother in a religious quarrel. It makes short work of men and families to-day. One would expect that a revolutionary force is needed to contend with sin, and such is Christianity. Life makes revolution. Introduce into this vegetable life animal life, and soon there is another revolution. A revolution followed by a development of life after its kind. The deliverance of the Israelites from Egypt by a series of awful miracles was a revolution. Christ’s death and resurrection in their revolutionary power effected in him at once what fifteen years of training could not accomplish in others.
