ABSTRACT
Luke informs that in his biography of the visible Christ he wrote of “all that Jesus began both to do and to teach.” The Apostles had been with the Lord for three years, and had learned much of Him, but the knowledge of the visible Christ was not “power from on high.” He commands them to tarry at Jerusalem until they shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit. Pentecost is the beginning of the fulfilment of that promise, for we read, “He hath shed forth this which ye now see and hear.” The visible Christ was born of a woman. He received from Mary His physical body. He chose to be as a man only at one place at one time. He subjected Himself to the limitations of a human being. The invisible Christ is seeking another incarnation, but he does not confine himself to any individual.
