ABSTRACT
This annex is intended to provide the reader with some additional background material and reading that represent mainly a legal understanding of the issues discussed in this book. It is necessary to explain both in general terms and with some specific examples but is also interesting to show how this “Law of the River” has taken on a flexible character and is the point of ongoing debate. Furthermore, the legal norms that it sets out must be articulated at various levels of action, coherent with our field approach.
