ABSTRACT

This chapter provides information on geography, natural recourses, economic status, and political system of Northeast Asian countries. Japan is poor in natural resources: the main raw materials and fuels required for industrial production must be imported from overseas, except for a very small amount of mineral resources such as coal, natural gas and sulfur. Academic education in Japan is divided into four stages: pre-school, primary, secondary and higher. China and Japan can complement each other and develop third-party international capacity cooperation in the fields of infrastructure construction, road development, energy conservation and environmental protection in Southeast Asia. Since the early 1990s, the Japanese government has been actively engaged in attracting foreign investment in Japan. The Republic of Korea, known as South Korea, is located in the northeast of the Asia continent and the southern half of the Korean Peninsula, covering an area of about 100,000 square kilometers.
