New to the third edition of Recognizing Race and Ethnicity, this chapter covers housing issues, including racialized rates of home ownership, the role of social policies and real estate industry practices in limiting black home ownership for generations, sundown towns, environmental racism, and sociological explanations for residential segregation, historically and currently.
