ABSTRACT

Building on the strategies for data representation and the computational frameworks presented in previous workflows, this chapter will explore the utilization of data as a governing parameter for dynamic design scenarios. Models revolving around cellular-driven responses and agent behaviors will be used to explore and simulate conditions such as animal movement and behavior and environmental stimuli (for example, forest fires). The workflows will rely on connections between Rhino/Grasshopper and open-source software. The content affords designers the ability to speculate on the performance of existing and proposed landscape conditions while engaging nascent forms of analysis and expression.
