ABSTRACT
This chapter focuses on justice in society and the environment. Here we track the movement from Corporate Social Responsibility to Global Corporate Citizenship and what that transition means.
The environment, and the growing ecological crisis is discussed, along with the behavior by corporations that has contributed to the ecological challenges the world is now facing. The current efforts being made to redress these issues are examined. The growing responsibility of corporations to act as stewards of the planet is outlined, as well as the many barriers that need to be overcome. A deep hearted motivation, such as love of the planet, is needed to mobilize people and resources to attend to what is now a matter of urgency.
