ABSTRACT

This chapter provides inputs, based on the contents of the preceding chapters, to facilitate implementation of actions for enhancing employee performance and well-being. It describes how the contents of various chapters can broaden managerial thinking by helping them consider actions coming from research-based inputs rather than relying only on their experience-based knowledge. It provides some broad guidelines for the implementation of actions in the areas of transformational leadership, organizational justice, organizational support, and workplace spirituality. For implementation of these actions, the self-assessment exercises at the end of various chapters can provide inputs on the current level of leadership, justice, support, and workplace spirituality in an organization and some possible actions to enhance these features in one’s organization. This chapter also describes how actions for improving the features of transformational leadership, organizational justice, organizational support, and workplace spirituality can complement the implementation of each other and also strengthen the effects of each other on employee performance and well-being. Finally, it outlines how the actions to implement transformational leadership, organizational justice, organizational support, and workplace spirituality can be combined with the actions suggested in some of the traditional approaches.
