ABSTRACT
This chapter briefly reviews the aims of this volume and recaps on the core analytical content, emergent findings and critical arguments of the preceding chapters. Subsequently, it provides an update on the progress and outcomes of the WSHWNP experience to consider whether these factors influence the perspectives and opinions articulated in this volume. Finally, it presents a series of thematic insights and proposals arising from the analysis in this volume for neighbourhood planning and the planning project more broadly, before concluding by articulating the core critical argument that neighbourhood planning and the broader planning framework require substantial modification if neighbourhood planning is to be deemed either effective or legitimate.
