ABSTRACT
This first chapter presents readers with an introduction of child to parent aggression and violence, and the authors include case examples to highlight the lived experience of such incidences. The significance of exploring this under-researched area of violence and aggression is explained. The prevalence of child to parent aggression and violence is clarified based on the profile of the perpetrators, and these incidences could happen in many forms, including verbal, physical, psychological, or financial violence, which will be detailed in this chapter. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, incidences of aggression and violence within the home have also increased, including those incidences targeted towards parents, thus this is also included in the discussion.
