ABSTRACT

Among the laundry list of things to cover at the first faculty meeting of the school year was a plea to help the school custodian, Mr. Green. The budget cuts had left him without an assistant to help at the end of the school day. Since sweeping the linoleum-tiled floor in each classroom was an essential task, Mr. Green needed the teachers to train their students to put their chairs up on their desks at dismissal time. If students could complete this one daily chore, Mr. Green’s job would be so much easier.
