ABSTRACT
At 4:30 p.m. Mr. Woodward, a middle school principal, usually expected a phone call from a parent with some complaint or issue, so when he heard Assistant Principal Williams’ voice from his son’s high school, his heart skipped a beat. His son, Richard, had a history of troubles in school, academically and behaviorally, so he wasn’t surprised.
