ABSTRACT
Chapter 6, ‘Victim participation through the SACVR’, details the unique and substantive powers of the SACVR, which extend to providing legal representation to victims in certain criminal proceedings where victims’ rights and interests have not been sufficiently met. This chapter analyses the benefits and limitations of the SACVR’s powers with reference to how they impact on victims’ procedural justice experiences.
