This chapter details Anandibai’s early days at the medical college. It details her initial impression of the people and the place, her trouble settling into new surroundings, and frequent illnesses. She carries on her correspondences with her husband back in India, but her exchanges also display her natural leanings towards a feminist bent of thought.
